Daniel Craig quits as Bond for a role in new US tv drama, Purity.
Daniel Craig has signed up to star in a new US drama called Purity, fuelling speculation he’s quit his role as James Bond.
Purity is a 20 part drama series based on Jonathan Franzen’s book of the same name, which is currently being pitched to broadcasters including Neftlix and Fox. It centres on an aimless young woman named Purity (known as Pip), who was raised in unusual circumstances in Northern California. She winds up bouncing around after college from Oakland to Bolivia to Denver through a series of jobs and relationships with equally offbeat characters.
The news comes amidst new comments from Daniel Craig, who has apparently said he’d “rather slash his wrists” than play 007 again.
