Review: Mass Movement 2018 at Curve Leicester

Mass Movement is one of six East Midlands UDance events that will have audiences thrilled and amazed.

Celebrating exceptional youth dance talent from across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, the event will see a series of pieces specially selected by a panel of dance-industry experts that the young dancers and choreographers have created.

This annual sell-out event is an insight into the wealth of dance and creativity in the county and provides talented young people with a platform to showcase their work.

The performances will have the opportunity to be selected to progress to the UDance 2018 national youth dance festival, hosted in Suffolk.

We were lucky enough to watch dances from:

Fly Dance
Ballet UP!
RSA Dance Company
Curve Young Dance Company
Moving Together
Addict Dance Academy
CYC#2
Sophia Hartley
Aiyna
Adaa (Aarti's Dance and Arts Academy)
Birch Wood Special School

These local groups excelled themselves and it's clear there is no shortage of fresh talent in this upcoming city.

It's absolutely fantastic that Curve, an innovative theatre boasting huge national productions such as Matilda and Miss Saigon dedicates such time and resource to delivering such a well produced showcase like this for the public.
