Review: What the Ladybird Heard is perfect family theatre

Two crafty robbers, one tiny ladybird, and a whole farmyard of fun!

Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len have a cunning plan to steal the farmer’s fine prize cow. But they reckon without the tiniest, quietest creature of all: The Ladybird has a plan of her own!

Join the woolly sheep, the hairy hog, the fat red hen and the dainty dog in this glittering stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson &Lydia Monks’ colourful farmyard adventure. With live music, puppetry, plenty of audience participation and lots of laughs!

Recommended for ages 3+, Celebritain thought this was an excellent performance (dodgy West Country accents aside!) with catchy songs, dancing, puppetry, physical comedy and music.

Our 3 year old absolutely loved it and sat captivated for the full 55 minutes - a perfect length for 3-5 year olds. Beautiful scenery and well-staged, comedy to appeal to children but also the adults in the audience. We would definitely recommend to families with young children.
