BBC to scrap Red Button service as part of £150m budget cuts.
The BBC is expected to announce the closure of its Red Button service later today.
The service,gives viewers access to additional content, such as a choice of stages to watch during the BBC's Glastonbury coverage or recorded music performances from Radio 1 and Radio 2.
However as part of a new round of cuts, the red button service will go. It is also reported that £12 million will be cut from the BBC's drama budget and £35 million will be shed from the corporation's budget for sporting rights.
